Spring Landing is part of a run of bird painting I created in April 20220. Being a little tired of the winter, I couldn’t wait for Spring to arrive and created these birds to express my joy at the coming season.
The glass works beautifully to create the surface of the water the swallow is landing on. I love swallows, they are graceful and announce the arrival of Spring. I used to see them a lot in my parents’ garden in France where I grew up, nesting and flying in the sky. So for me, swallow have are nostalgic and bring many happy memories.
